Together, retired Fire Fighter Lieutenant Mark Rooney and Rod Luke, owner of Luke Brothers Custom Homes, started "Fire It Up Grills" because of their passion for outdoor cooking/smoking and barbequing.
In retirement, Mark thought that it was time Englewood and Charlotte County Florida had their own local resource for premium grills/smokers, rubs, sauces, and outdoor fire features.
Rod Luke, while known for quality home building, decided to put his resources and passion of cooking for his family together with Marks idea and bring a top quality, American made outdoor cooking store to Charlotte county.
